Yoga in Schools
We bring the mat to you!
Wild Yogis is a mobile yoga program built specifically for kids and teens, from preschool through high school. We come to you, whether that's a school gym, a classroom, or a community space. We bring everything needed to turn any space into a place for movement, creativity, and calm.
Each class blends yoga with art, sensory exploration, and social-emotional learning, giving kids more than just poses. They leave with real tools for focus, self-regulation, and confidence, wrapped in an experience that feels like play. From storytelling and games for our youngest yogis to journaling and project-based work for teens, every offering is designed to meet kids exactly where they are, developmentally and emotionally.
Why Wild Yogis
Classes are led by a certified instructor with a 200-hour yoga certification, a specialized children's yoga certification, and 15 years of classroom experience. That background means every class is built with best practices in teaching, not just yoga knowledge, so activities are age-appropriate and engaging.

Why We Bring Yoga to Schools
Kids spend most of their day in school, making it the perfect place to build lifelong tools for focus, calm, and connection. Yoga gives them a simple, accessible way to practice those skills right where they already are.
Brain Development
Yoga helps kids build focus, memory, and self-control, skills that carry over into reading, math, and everyday learning. Studies show these benefits are especially strong in young children. It's a fun, physical practice that also gives growing brains a boost.
Emotional Regulation
Breathing exercises and movement give kids tools to manage big feelings instead of just being told to "calm down." Studies show school-based yoga can improve emotional regulation, reduce stress, and even help kids sleep better. It offers a physical outlet paired with a mental reset.
Focus
Yoga can help kids concentrate better in school. Studies have found that kids who practice yoga regularly show real improvements in attention, even more than kids doing other types of exercise.
Social Skills
Group yoga classes build cooperation, patience, and body awareness around others, skills that carry over to the classroom and playground. Partner poses, group breathing, and shared reflection give kids easy, low-pressure ways to practice taking turns and supporting classmates.
Social Emotional
Yoga gives kids a hands-on way to build key social-emotional skills like self-awareness and self-control. Instead of just talking about these ideas, kids get to actually feel calm and practice regulation in the moment, making the lessons stick.
Physical Fitness
Yoga builds strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness, all of which support coordination and help prevent injury in other activities. It's accessible to kids of all fitness levels, making it an inclusive way to get everyone moving. Regular practice also helps kids build better posture and body control throughout the day.
How Can We Work Together?
Below are the most common ways to bring yoga to your community, but we love special projects! If you have an idea that doesn't quite fit the boxes below, don't be afraid to reach out. We're always up for something new.

1
Curriculum- Based
These sessions fit right into your existing school day, whether that's P.E. or classroom time. We work with teachers and staff to design movement that supports what's already happening in the room, from focus and regulation to just plain joyful movement. These can run on an ongoing basis throughout the semester or school year.
2
Group Programs
Small groups and after school clubs give kids a dedicated, recurring space to practice yoga together outside of the regular school schedule. We tailor the pacing and content to the group's age and size, so every session feels personal rather than one size fits all. Like our curriculum based offerings, these are designed to run on an ongoing basis.
3
Special Events
Assemblies and workshops are a great way to introduce yoga and mindfulness to a wider audience in a single, memorable session. These are one time experiences, perfect for kickoff events, wellness days, or staff development. We bring the same energy and intention as our ongoing programs, just packed into one impactful gathering.
Space
We can easily adapt any space for yoga. We can use classrooms, gyms, offices, hallways, and our favorite- outside!
Timing
Our programs are flexible and can be designed around your schedule. We offer times and cadences that work for you.
Supplies
We bring all the materials we need, including the mats!
Topics
